FAQ

Questions, answered plainly

Is Amerisana a clinic?

No. Amerisana is a medical travel facilitator. We compare vetted partner clinics, coordinate scheduling and communication, and plan your trip. All medical decisions are made by independent, licensed physicians at the partner clinic you choose.

How do you vet partner clinics?

We review physician licensure, facility accreditation, equipment standards, and communication quality before a clinic is ever added to our network. Clinics are re-reviewed on an ongoing basis.

How much can I actually save?

Savings vary by procedure and clinic, but many patients see meaningfully lower costs compared to US pricing, even after travel and accommodation. See our services page for public-source pricing ranges by procedure.

What's included in a typical package?

Most packages include hotel accommodation, private transfers, a personal coordinator, and pre-arranged appointments. Exact inclusions depend on the procedure and partner clinic, and are confirmed before you travel.

Who decides if I'm a good candidate?

The independent, licensed physician at the partner clinic reviews your case and makes that determination. Amerisana coordinates the intake process but does not make clinical decisions.

What if I need follow-up care after I'm home?

Your coordinator stays reachable after your trip to help route questions to your treating clinic and coordinate any recommended follow-up.

How far in advance should I plan?

It depends on the procedure and clinic availability. Some pathways can be scheduled within a few weeks; others, like certain fertility or orthopedic cases, need more lead time for physician review.

Is the consultation really free?

Yes. The initial consultation is free with no obligation. It's a conversation to understand your goals and explain what a realistic next step looks like.
